I found this place while wandering around soho at lunch for a sit down place to eat and walked in a whim. Glad I did as this is a real gem. The staff are always super friendly, the food is delicious, hearty, and filling. I have only come during lunch but have never been disappointed. The lunch menu pre-fixe is a great deal for a 3 course meal. I ordered the potato salad, borscht (literally the best I've ever had), and the chicken kiev. I always feel like I ate too much but the food is too good to pass up.

We decided to go there because we never really got the occasion to eat Russian/Ukrainian food. It was hat I imagine is a typical Ukrainian ambiance (never been in Ukraine so can't really judge). The staff was helpful, giving us good recommandations. The food was really good! However, they were out of most of their beers and out of Chicken à la Kiev so I wasn't very lucky. I would still recommend this restaurant as the food was really good !
A few days ago we decided to have my Mom's surprise b-day party at Korchma Taras Bulba. What a delight it was! This restaurant is quickly becoming one of our top favorites! Reservations were a breeze, the atmosphere welcoming, friendly and attentive, service prompt and attentive and the food - delicious (some of the dishes are called "grandma's recipe", and they certainly live up to the expectations). We'll be back soon and I can't recommend this restaurant strongly enough. Come and check it out for yourself...
Beautiful space, delicious authentic food (pelmeni had me flashback to my childhood!), gracious and yummy drinks. The staff is very lovely. They can supply you with flower crowns and take a Polaroid of you and your friends :) You get a shot of their vodka with a chase of pickle when you leave! Fantastic experience, will come back. A real taste of Ukrainian culture.
This place is simply magical. Give yourself a chance to take a seat and be enveloped by the ambiance. Staff is so warm and friendly. The food is absolutely incredible. I will be back!!
Quality of the food was significantly lower than when I was there two years ago. The meat didn't seem as fresh as it should have been. Wait staff were very pleasant.
Highly recommend this place . Good quality of food and service. Food tastes like really Ukrainian with traditional servings . Interior is also Ukrainian, was feeling home atmosphere. I would advise this place to everybody.
This restaurant is for people who are looking for a traditional Ukrainian cuisine.Staff members provide an exceptional and very personalized service. Certain days you may also see a life performance of their crew, including dancing, singing, DJs... Food is just terrific! Even in Ukraine it's hard to find a restaurant with such a great quality!
