Very hard to find a great ramen place in nyc, cus everything is fusion!!! However, if you like authentic Japanese ramen, come to Kuu!!! The size is decent (most places offer small portion), kakuni pork is awesome!!! I personally like fat, great balance on fat and lean part, plus tilts a huge meat!!! Staff is very kind, offered me free drink of honey green tea mix, as a tea resin who loves honey, it’s also a good one!! So what I’m saying is, Kuu is definitely worth a try!!!
This place is a hidden gem of the UES, holding its own against more established ramen joints like Meijin and Totto. The ramen broth is balanced not too oily or salty. The service is fast and courteous. Would highly recommend!
