Where should I start? I genuinely think Mamoun's is the best Shawarma and Falafel that I had outside Palestine. The food is so unique and I really miss it. Can't wait to travel to New York again to visit this treasure. It was always one of the highlights of my visit is to NYC. The sandwiches are really inexpensive for this high level of quality. The service is always nice, despite being really busy. I love this place

Expectation is high and flavor is ok, but with this times of covid 19, hygiene it's not there and people won't respect social distancing while standing in line and while waiting for the food and nor the employees do anything for this

I found out about Mamoun's Falafel over 40 years ago quite by accident. Just walking around the Village / Washington Sq. Park. I was exploring new and different foods that contained no meat; due to the fact that I suffer from certain allergies. When I walked upon Mamoun's, I just took a shot in the dark and decided to go in. I ordered a Falafel and also wanted to try stuffed grapeleaves. I was amazed at the taste and textures of the food; the prices was phenomenal. If I remember correctly in total the cost was 3.00. I have been going there ever since; taking friends to get the same experience that I remember when I go each and every time. It's been 40 years and the food is still great as well as the price. My only wish is that had either multigrain, whole wheat, or pumpernickel pita bread. OH WELL!!!

Best falafel place in town, others might be fancier etc. Mamoun sticks to the basics, add their secret hot sauce and you have a combo that can't be beat. Also, inexpensive and fast service even if there is a line.
