(Note: This is the same review I previously made of California Cryobank. They're the same.) I became a donor with California Cryobank about 2 months ago, and my initial experience with them was great. They were very friendly and polite with me at first. While we were still in the application phase, I was asked to agree that the cryobank would run tests on my DNA and that they could basically disqualify me at any time. Within a month, this happened, and I was fine with it. My problem isn't that I was disqualified. My problem is how dramatically these coordinators and receptionists changed their tune as soon as I was disqualified. Immediately, they began to avoid my calls and emails. Their interactions used to be polite, and now they're just rude. I'm only asking them to send me the final check that they said they'd send me the day I became disqualified. This organization still owes me a few hundred dollars, and its employees act as if I'd be taking it from their own pockets or as if I'm not entitled to the money I earned. It's been a month with this back and forth. I didn't want to leave this negative review, since they were so nice to begin with, but I must make my voice public, because this behavior is wholly unacceptable. I had seen reviews about the cryobank like this before, but I just believed that those were isolated incidents. Now it's clear that this is how they work with people once they're disqualified from the program. They ghost you and keep your last check. I don't recommend donating or soliciting any services from California Cryobank. I encourage you not to. If this is how easily willing they are to backstab their donors, there's no telling what they might do to others. See another cryobank.
