**IF YOU’RE LOOKING TO GET AN APPOINTMENT DURING COVID READ THIS** I kept trying to get an appointment, but none were showing up. I called and found out that they release appointments at MIDNIGHT for 13 days in advance. (Booked an appointment on Feb 3 for an appointment on Feb 18th). Fill in all your info at 11:59 on the appointment scheduler webpage, and hit search at midnight! You might need to refresh but keep trying! They go quick! They said that there’s a possibility to find a cancelation sooner, but I didn’t see any. Just MAKE SURE your travel plans are within 3 days of your appointment! Best of luck! Stay safe!

Important info: I expected the worse from this place from the reviews. Especially since I overslept and showed up at 7:45am to a line wrapped around the corner. It went incredibly fast because I came prepared. I was in at around 8:30 and was out at 9:45, with a time to pick up my passport. I printed the passport application generated online at travel.gov and carefully went over all the required documents necessary with the application. Don't wait to get to the long line to fill everything out. Fill out the application and print it out. Carefully go over all the required documents and make sure they're all together in a folder so you don't have to waste your time shuffling through papers or forgetting something. Everything will go smoothly. I'd like to note that I was done before more than a couple people with appointments. I didn't have an appointment. Update: My passport was ready for pick up the next morning at 9am.

Had a good experience at the passport agency despite covid protocol restrictions. Haven't seen recent reviews so want to share current details as of February 2021. 1) no walk ins at all... You must have an appointment and they fill up fast (only 8:30 am - 2 pm). You can make an appt two weeks in advance and appts open up at midnight 2 weeks before the date you need and fill up immediately. You can only make an appointment for within 3 days of intentional travel. This is critical, there is no typical expediting or through third parties, even if you are willing to pay. It's a narrow window of opportunity. 2) Don't bother trying to wait outside without an appointment, they turn everyone away. If you aren't traveling within 3 days of appt or have proof of family death, they will not process your passport even if you have an appt. It was so sad to see so many desperate people who couldn't get accommodated. I saw no exceptions. 3) Make sure you have all your documents with you, no exceptions and no coming back later. Make sure your passport photo meets criteria. They take credit card for payment. 4) I was able to get my passport same day, but had to wait 3 hours after my appointment and I was the first appointment of the day. They won't take you early, so no need to be there in advance of appt bc you wait outside. 5) there is no wifi or outlets to charge devices, so be prepared to wait, though there was cellphone service for my carrier at least (t mobile) 6) it is difficult to get into the building, so if you walk out and want to get back in, be prepared to wait in the cold because they only open the door every 30 mins at appointment times. Good luck. Since I had everything I needed with me and had an appointment, it was pretty seamless.

Spoke to a lady on the phone back in December who told me if I needed emergency passport first time, to wait until beginning of January and then try to make an appointment (my flight leaves in 5 days). She never informed me that the agency was booked completely or else I'd have started searching the online booking system earlier, or would have went to the local courthouse. She made it seem as if I'd have no problem getting it in an emergency and now I may possibly miss the flight for something important. Zero stars for telling people the wrong information. And also, if there is service for life and death situation, then clearly the agency has availability to take in extra appointments for other emergency circumstances. I do not like how they do business.

Great and smooth Service! Let me share my experience, I’ve a newborn baby and i missed to book online appointment. I read all the reviews here and it helped me a lot to do Walk In because my flight was next day. I went at 7AM the queue was very small and left my wife and daughter at Starbucks cause it was cold(opposite to the building) till 7:30 then we all were in On time, proceeded to the information disk and showed them my itinerary and they checked all my documents, then sent me to the 10th floor where i only waited around 15 min and they told me to come pickup after 34 hours The whole process took around 45 minutes! And i came after 5 hours picked the passport and was ready and all good :) Documents needed for newborn: - Birth Certificate Copy - 2 Child Photo - Father Passport Copy - Mother Passport Copy - DS-11 Form Hope this help!
