Minus one star for uncomfortable seating and slightly high prices (but I just got back from Japan where everything was much cheaper so maybe I’m just not ready for US prices). Uni pasta was the standout dish. Robata was only okay esp for price, and advertised poached eggs seemed pretty hard boiled and not poached to me.

They have an interesting Sake list and the waitress was kind enough to let us sample a few! The food was generally good. It has potential to be a great restaurant. I would recommend the chef to expand its menu a bit. It's not a very large selection of food.
Love this place! It just openned and I’m so glad I found it. Try the Uni noodles. I can’t explain how amazing they are. Also the only place I’ve been to in nyc that serves LIVE prawns. Yes, you heard me right. LIVE! It is a Japanese tapas style restaurant so you get to try many dishes. Will go back to try more.
Lovely Japanese tapa. Everything was extremely delicious. A couple items were surprising (in a good way). Will definitely go back.
Came in for dinner one Thursday night with a resso for 7 pm. I would definitely recommend making ressos because the place is SMALL. That being said, don't come with a large group because it will be a tight fit. To start, we had: Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice - spicy tuna? Good. Crispy Rice? GOOD. Can't complain Hamachi - the fish was good but there was way too much soy sauce. I wish they had put this on the side. I liked the crispy garlic pieces that were sprinkled on top Wagyu short rib yakitori - this was kind of dry and salty. Definitely not worth it at 10 a piece Some kind of meatball yakitori with egg (I think it might have been a special) - this was the best thing of the night. You use the yolk as a "dipping sauce" and all the flavors just meshed really well together For my entree, I had the uni noodle (uni, mentaiko, ikura with udon). It's kind of a small portion but we were already getting full from the apps, so it was fine. It was actually really oily so I didn't end up finishing it. I wouldn't recommend it. My fiancé had the short rib curry, which we both really liked. The only thing I would come back for is the meatball but who knows if they'd even have it next time. The other food isn't worth the trek here for me.
A jewel of an Izakaya-style place. All of the small plates were well prepared and delicious. Nice selection of Sake. Great tunes, relaxed atmosphere.
Like everyone says the uni pasta is a must. Also the hot soba is secretly very good. It’s a vegan dish but the broth is very flavorful
Food is very tiny portion and heavily overpriced. Taste is average level. You can get a much bigger portion and of similar or better taste at any other izakaya places in the same area. I spent 60 bucks over there and still hungry. And btw food come very slow. Environment is okay.
