I get the Nama Chocolate (mild cacao) for my wife on special occasions and it never disappoints. Very creamy, high quality chocolate. Closer to fudge in texture.

Really good chocolate from Japan! Prices are a little high but worth it. There's some unique truffle chocolates as well in various traditional Japanese flavors. The staff is extremely polite as if you were in Japan and speak Japanese. It's a small shop but clean and tidy. Sometimes they have specials on combinations of chocolates.
Not only the delicious taste of the chocolate, more important is their service! Always happy to go and leave the store! One example : last summer my chocolate was a little melted on the way home because the employee forgot to put ice patch in the package, I emailed the store manager, he was so friendly and ordered the replacement right away for me, I was not expecting that at all!
The "Fromage Blanc" chips are delicious!
Absolutely in my Top 3 favorite chocolates in the world! If it's just the chocolates, esp. the Nama Champagne, easily a 10-star even, but with the rudeness of the 'male host' last Sunday afternoon, we really got turned off. Every year before Christmas, we'd always plan for a Winter Village stroll buying Royce chocolates either as gifts and/or for us (a little tradition that we especially observe during the Christmas and New Year holidays). And we've been going to this branch and it used to be great except for the encounter with this guy. Ordering was via QR code and it was a 'code blue' freezing day. So of course we wanted to at least line up to pick it up within the building. This worker was passive aggressive, telling us, "I hate to be impolite but you can't be here." Well then don't be impolite! Be considerate with your customers who are freezing hence the need. He goes on with, "As you can see, this is a residential building etc, why don't you go around the park first LOL" Seriously, Japanese people and brands are known for their good values, this guy's an outlier. He then half heartedly says, please come in, meaning just squeeze yourself by the door. With his mighty attitude, he even failed to see we didn't even have our orders gift wrapped to save them time and effort. Anyway, his co worker hands it over to us nicely with thank yous and the rude guy fails to say thank you nor even pretend to mutter it. If you can't handle the holidays and lack the spirit to treat customers right, why are you even working in the retail industry? Sad for Royce really.
I did not expect the cold shoulder from one of the staff. It’s Saturday afternoon on 22nd of September 2018 at the Bryant Park branch. The woman staff was miserable. She did not greet us, did not have eye contact when I talked to her and did not smile of course. Japanese are renowned for good service and quality products. The chocolates are excellent but .... The cashier guy was very nice and provided an extra bag for the gift that we bought. He was attentive and courteous.
Creamy, rich, and melt in mouth that is Royce Chocolate! Loved eveyr bite of it.
One of the best chocolate in the city. I love their "petite truffle matcha" as well their potatochip chocolate. In addition, the packaging is very elegant and simple. Great gift for any occasion.
