Good old sunny boy, great food. Good wine. Friendly staff. Just a little pricey

Amazing food at a good price and great customer service. Ordered delivery and the staff was extremely attentive and helpful with my order and its status. Highly recommend!
Great food and reasonable price. I like how great their waiters are. I have been there twice and defiantly I’ll go more
The place is something between Dudley's and Good Thanks - the menu - seems like - was composed by taking a few items from both and not giving them justice. It is limited too. The hot cake was a single disk of a pancake, very deep brown on the outside but seemed under on the inside... the frying oil infused rim had to be avoided. Food tasted okay. Place seems to be overpriced for what they serve and how much of it they serve (Starbucks-style breakfast sandwich for 11). The service is fast but uninterested, not happy to be there. The table we were sat at was dirty. I did notice them barely wiping the tables before setting them up. Not worth the trip, but if you're in the neighborhood - why not.
Pattern-or-Practice or error? Tell me you guys aren’t being shady and petty with your diners. Folks, check your card statement and take photo of the subtotal and tip amount selection at this place. I liked this place, initially. But twice (Jan14Jan21) I dined here, the amount on credit card statement was more than what I selected to pay on their card swiping device. My friend who dined with me texted me that her card company flagged a 31% tip on a transaction at Sonnyboy, so I checked my card statement. The statement reflects the tip amount change from 20% to 30%. I selected 20% both visit. The card does breakdown of tip and post-tax total, so no calculation error on my end. My friend’s card statement shows flat amount under “tips,” a number you can only produce by manually typing amount (ie. 10, 20, 30) instead of a amount that should’ve reflected upon selecting a percentage(ie. 10.23, 20.31, etc) I’ll check with another diner. If it shows the similar amount changes on a different transaction date, you know you guys are making a good case for Pattern-or-Practice, right? I’m all about supporting business. I’m not about dishonest business activities. Why don’t you just openly require 30% tip instead of surreptitiously changing the amount without informing customers? So what’s going on, guys? Was it an administrative error or grifting? I’m used to being shortchanged abroad, but not at NYC restaurants. Waiting for some clarification.
