If you’re looking for unique frames, and a staff that knows immediately what works best for you, look no further! I love this shop and everyone that works there. Their customer service is the best, and they make you feel welcomed the minute you walk in the door. I highly recommend Surreal and have sent many friends there, who are equally pleased!

I have worn glasses since I was 13 and never liked wearing glasses, until going to Surreal Eyewear. I use to live in NYC (now Albany), and could not find a decent pair of glasses that looked professional without being boring. The owner happened to be there that day and picked out glasses for me and they were truly perfect. I get compliments on my glasses on a weekly basis. I should mention I generally hate it when sales staff starts making unsolicited suggestions of what to buy. I generally feel like they are simply going to suggest the most expensive thing in the store. He picked the PERFECT pair of glasses. I was concern about the price but the owner assured me that they were made from titanium and would hold up, even though I'm touch on my glasses. If they didn't I could come back to the store and get them fixed for free. So they did break and went back to complain. I barely had to say a word about what I discussed with the owner. They immediately contacted the designer as well as the distributor and replaced the frames. They are mailing the replacement to my house in Albany. This store is an excellent example of why I choose to shop at smaller businesses who are willing to go the extra mile for the customer. I will be customer of the Surreal Eyewear for as long as they remain open (hopefully forever :)).
I'm a Professor at a Big 10 university and even though Surreal is 5 states away, I still go to them for their selection, depth of knowledge, and customer service. When I try on frames (and be cautioned -- it's like being in a candy store) , I trust the staff to advise me if something isn't really working . . . and they do. Their eye is unerring. Perhaps that's why complete strangers come up to me and ask \Where did you get your glasses?\. Surreal is the best.
I've never been to an eyeglass store like it. Sure, they have some amazing, original pieces. Yes, they're knowledgeable, fast & friendly. They're very trendy and know what's hot, yet they never treat you like an inferior. None of this is what makes these folks so amazing. You go in, they look at you, they say hi, then they tell you to kinda go away & mill about the store. A few minutes later, they come back with a tray of glasses that will fit YOU and will frame YOUR FACE properly. I've been to probably two dozen eyeglass stores in my life. I expect an aloof impatience as you annoy them into doing their jobs. That doesn't exist here. I absolutely love these guys, I love their customer experience and their glasses are fantastic.
Came in and was greeted with kindness. The ac was in full effect -July, warm day -and they helped repair my glasses! I am a completely satisfied customer.
