I absolutely love studying at The Barrow Group. I am in my third year studying here (now online of course). I love the positive teaching method. I love feeling encouraged and as if what I do has value. As we grow in our studies, we are encouraged to evaluate our own work. For whatever reason, I find this the most challenging. The Barrow Group focuses on truth, my truth, at least that is my take away. Overall, there is such a spirit of support and encouragement, and that is what I need and what keeps me coming back.

Best acting I've EVER seen on a New York stage. Period. Barrow teaches acting that is so real that, as an audience, it feels less like watching a play, and more like being a fly on the wall, eavesdropping on someone else's life. I took my first class over 5 years ago and never looked elsewhere since. Barrow Group is my artistic home, and I can't thank them enough for the life altering experiences I've had since joining this wonderful, supportive community.

I took the beginner acting class I with Quinn and it was amazing! I had so much fun and learned so much. Such a safe space to explore and play around and try out the tools they throw to you, and no pressure to be perfect. I also love the acting concepts of TBG! Will be returning for beginners II!

An extraordinary theatre company and school. I had studied for many years with some of the best and most highly regarded teachers in the acting community but it wasn't until I found the Barrow Group that I felt I became a good actor. Seth Barrish has created an astoundingly simple approach to the work that makes acting fun again. And truthful and real. He and his co-artistic director Lee Brock have created a wonderful home for some of the most passionate and talented artists I have ever had the privilege of working with. I couldn't recommend them more highly!

The Barrow Group has pushed me creatively, while always being a warm, welcoming and positive place to be. The tools and philosophy they teach here have been invaluable to me as an actor, and I have learned to be okay with being myself. Not only that, but I've made wonderful friends and met great people that I've collaborated with on projects outside of class. Love it!

Wonderful people working here who are well mannered, friendly and respectful. It is truly a great asset to the industry and community. The students can find role models in this school with a diverse cultural and ethnic background. This place is truly a gem. 5 stars all the way!

I wished RON did not give the same direction and feedback every time to everyone. It felt cookie cutter and automated to me. Also, his answer to most things are "that's just how the business is!!". He says it so much it appears as if he's trying to impress or convince us all that he has more experience than anybody else or is a big part of show business. "no i can't lower the blinding lights thats hurting your eyes, because that's just how the business is". No man, YOU chose not to lower them, not the business. Own it and don't blame the business. Bearing discomfort if nothing can be done is one thing. However, having someone bear discomfort when you can stop it is sadistic and cruel man. Outside of that, class was fun.

The barrow group theatre company is an excellent forum for kids to develop their social skills and interact with like minded individuals. The teachers, the staff go above and beyond for the students to help them and their parents. Will be forever gratefu for the opportunities you have given my twins Emily & James. Thank you!
