One of the most delicious lunches I have had in a long time. Everything is familiar in a comforting way, but with exciting twists! The cheesy hawawshi is similar to a burger in a lightly crisp/warm pita, with a cheesy tahini sauce and freshly diced tomatoes, onions, and arugula. The fries hold their own, dusted with dukka, and side dipping options. The rice custard is on the sweeter side, but delicious and the pistachios are a welcome crunch! I will be back! Outdoor seating is available!

Warning: the spicy hawawshi is really spicy! It was very delicious and full of flavors. I love that carrots and tomatoes brought so much to the flavor and the orange made it very refreshing. But the spicy sauce was a bit too much. I wish I had told them to go easy on the sauce. Overall its still very good for the value. They serving egyptian street food is def a niche in the city

I’ve been looking for a koshari place that was decent and finally found one that rivals the ones I went to in Cairo! Also the spicy tammeyah sandwich my mom is the worlds biggest critic and she loved it too! I hope their recipe doesn’t change!! Spicy, flavorful, freshly made, will be coming back!
