Hands down the most beautiful river I've ever kayaked down, absolutely stunning. Very reasonably priced for the rental and ride. A really good 3-4 hour trip if you're going a slow pace. Saw dozens of beautiful homes and some fish. The water is so clear I could easily see 7 feet straight down to the bottom. I highly recommend giving this a try. And as a bonus, I saw absolutely NO TRASH whatsoever. Not a single piece. The nicest cleanest river I've ever been on.

Awesome fishing very clean facilities
Walked the white pine trail with my dog and a friend. very beautiful. Walked the cement path to the dam,, Awesome! Handicap fishing platform was impressive.
We fished this past Saturday and Sunday both Downstream of the Croton dam for steelhead. We seen four fish caught on Saturday and a dozen or so caught on Sunday more fish were caught by people standing on the banks that we seen then in a boat. my brother and I and II friends and I floated everything under the sun down the river on Saturday and Sunday in every hole that we could come across and only one bobber down between us so I don't know if it's my technique or had the wrong bait but other people were catching fish and we did not. Definitely fish are in the river and people are catching them though
