2/25 I was out walking and decided to stop and have lunch at J's because of the pouring rain. The last time my friends and I ate here we didn't have a good experience but that was over a year ago so decided to try again. I wasn't disappointed! Despite the outdoor tent seating it was nice and toasty because of all the space heaters. Pin P (according to receipt) was my server and he went above and beyond. The lady who showed me to me seat and everyone working there did an amazing job . The food was hot, crispy, and yummy. Complete change from last time I was there, very impressed!

Love it!! Ordered delivery in Sherwood and had the oven ready to re-heat it when it got here, assuming there'd just be no way it'd still be warm by the time it got all the way to Sherwood, but they proved me wrong and knocked my socks off! Took 45min to get our food from time of placing the call, which isn't bad in my book, pretty great for the distance actually! Food was still warm, no re-heat needed! And these are seriously the BEST CHICKEN strips I've ever had!They're enormous, like a whole breast per strip and so so GOOD. We quite liked the fries too, and the peppercorn sauce was divine. And when I couldn't find exactly what I wanted on the menu they were so sweet and custom made me a sandwich which was delicious also! We are 2 new loyal patrons! If you live in Sherwood, don't fear, you can trust their delivery to still be fresh and warm!
I love this place! It's better than any other breakfast diner in town and the staff is really friendly. I can't wait to see the atmosphere once covid is over, but the food and service alone is unbeatable.
The only reason I did not give a 5 is because my food was wrong. We ordered a mushroom Swiss burger and a French dip. We got the buger which was fantastic! The meat was seasoned well and very juicy. The seasoned tots are so good! But the French dip was wrong. We got a steak and cheddar sandwich instead. I'm sure it would have tasted good but I HATE cheddar cheese on steak unless it's ground up and made into a burger. The meat was carved too thick as well. I give an A to the staff because they're Friendly, the food was ready quickly and it was hot, and when I called about our order, the manager refunded us, no questions asked! He also offered to remake my sandwich. I chose not to do that because I didn't want to raise their food costs, especially because I'd been refunded. We will definitely eat here again when. We come to Newberg!
This is a wonderful restaurant, with a great menu, and even better staff! The waitress Ashley, she was patient, happy, and when I couldn't figure out what I could eat, she offered to make me a sandwich. My son ordered the gut burger, and it's delicious, juicy, and HUGE!! 10 out of 10 I'm coming back every time I pass by from now on.
