On the website they advertised a skate ski package complete with skis, poles, and boots. I purchased this package. Only skis arrived. When I called, the person I talked to told me this was advertised in error...it wasn't supposed to be a package, only skis, and they no longer carried the necessary boots. He said he would have to talk to his manager and call me back. I heard nothing. I called back a few days later and was offered either a discount or to return the skis for a refund. I chose to return the skis. They sent me a return label and said they would process my refund when they got the skis. 2.5 weeks went by and I hadn't heard anything or received my refund. I tried to track the package using the tracking number on the return label.. and it said that the package had be delivered to California 2 months before I sent it (the tracking number was obviously reused). I called and nobody answered so left a message, no response. Called a few days later and they said they hadn't received the skis but would church the post office and let me know. I didn't hear back, but a few days later I finally received my refund. The whole experience from the skis being incorrectly advertised as a full package, to feeling like I had to keep calling to get my refund was really frustrating. Not a good customer service experience.

My boyfriend and I went here today to get some cross country ski stuff. When we got there we didn’t know what to get, as he received his last country ski things as a kid from his parents and I hadn’t done it at all. The person who helped us (the owner I think), was amazing. He really took the time to help us and explained things so we could understand it. The prices weren’t horrible either. He was able to put the bindings on in the store and that didn’t take long at all. We will definitely be back, and the drive there for us is over an hour away. I would recommend this place 10/10 each time.

The guy who I dealt with was nice enough to talk to but he broke my skis and refused to own up to it. I cracked a binding on my old crosscountry skis, my foot would slip off but they were still functional and I had been using them regularly. A friend wanted to try them so I brought them in to fix the binding. There wasn't a word about the possibility of losing my skis completely. He removed the bindings, decided that the skis \weren't safe enough\ to rebind and claimed to have saved me from grievous injury, though even if my junky woods skis break in half, it just means I'm walking home through the snow. If I had known there was the possibility he might break my skis and refuse to fix them, I would just have just superglued them. THEN, when I expressed my displeasure at having my 80% skis reduced to 0%, he wouldn't give me any credit toward new skis nor new bindings that I could affix myself.

Went in there earlier today knowing nothing about cross-country skiing. After a thirty minute conversation, I feel much more informed on the subject.

AJ, thanks for setting Becky and I up with awesome roller ski packages! Nordic Skater is one of the most responsive businesses I have ever bought from. Going to try them out tomorrow. Thanks for answering any questions on Messenger so darn fast! We are going to be your customers for life cause you guys care. BTW, does Nordic Skater also sell cross country ski packages?
