Update: I understand the Call Center misinformed us. What really upset us was the way Jennifer decided to handle the situation after the fact. She could have expressed her concern for our sons academic level in a different way. After all, we did reach out because we knew our son needed help. I recommend speaking to your clients as we are not the only parents that are unhappy about the experience there. One of the parents over heard her talking to my husband and they were appalled by what and how she said it. My husband and the other parent spoke long enough to help us feel better about our decision not to choose Sylvan. I wish you the best with Jennifer going forward and that no other parents has to experience her unprofessional manner. We spoke to someone on the phone who informed us we would have online options and made everything sound wonderful. Jennifer who is the director according to her name tag, was rude, unprofessional and said the representatives at the call centers were not teachers. You do not have to be a teacher to inform us what options are available to assist our son. She decided to inform us how our son was below grade level once we told her that we would find help for him elsewhere because we were not satisfied with how misinformed we were.

Wonderful experience at the Sylvan Learning Center in Newington. The Center Director, Jennifer has a lot of experience and was incredibly helpful as she provided us with the advice and guidance needed to ensure that our son made progress. We made sure to commit to the plan we put in place and saw through it to its end. When our son enrolled, his reading level was nearly 2 years behind, after about 9 months at Sylvan, he is now reading ahead of his grade level! I can't begin to thank the staff and Jennifer enough. I strongly recommend Sylvan to anyone who feels that their child may need some assistance with learning.
Amazing facility! My son attends the STEM classes. The teachers and administrators are top notch, friendly and loving. Awesome place to learn and excel academically in such a warm and safe environment! 5 stars for sure!
Jennifer and the teachers provide a wonderful learning experience for the kids at this learning center. They genuinely care about each child and you can see it in the effort they put forth during each tutoring visit. I highly recommend Sylvan Learning for anyone looking to help their child catch up or get ahead!
I had a really important test to complete for Western Governors University, and since I was on a house sit in eastern Connecticut, this Sylvan learning Center was the nearest one. They were extremely attentive and made sure I was at home.
