Very peaceful and clean campground. Loved having a site backed up to the river with a dock. Our kids enjoyed playing basketball on what looks like a new court. Laundry room on site with full hook up sites. Definitely recommend! We went to Blowing Rock for the day and enjoyed the ride to and from Buck Hill Campground. Very close to Linville Falls.

We had such an amazing experience at this campground! Chris and his family were so friendly and welcoming. The grounds were very clean. The spaces were adequate. They are constantly looking it improve the property which shows. It is also super close to a lot of great outdoor activities and views. I am excited to return during the year.

The best campground in America. The owners are super friendly, and there is so much to do at this camp ground and is super family friendly. Truly an amazing place to camp. Recommend doing the hike on the mountain trail. My family will be visiting Buck Hill again.

We stayed in the couple's cabin booked through AirBnB. Very nice amenities, Queen sized bed with a mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Cabin had a fire ring in front of it and picnic table next to it. Water supply behind the cabin and parking directly beside it. View of the pond and mountain right outside the cabin. Would definitely visit again!!

My husband and I booked a cabin to stay at Christopher's campground via Airbnb. We did not see the pet fee and asked him if this could be waived. We also asked for the possibility of us staying in our car with our dog. We never said that we would leave our dog in the car the entire time (we both love our puppy and would never leave an animal inside a car on its own for a long time). However, Christopher ignored this. He kept twisting and turning words and then asked my husband "how old are you?", which is really provoking when you are just trying to ask questions. We then asked if we could please cancel the booking (we booked and asked for a cancellation on the same day). Christopher got really unfriendly and kept the money. Some of his words were: "Thanks for the 85.27. Have a nice life." "Next time you book with us, I'd recommend our most expensive cabin. Not the cheapest one. If that's in your budget of course. Good luck Timmy" "Simple minds need simple things I guess" If anyone is interested in screenshots of this, please let me know. I never went to the actual campground, who knows maybe it is great there. However, after this I'd rather stay somewhere else without a slandering and hostile owner.

What a great place! Just got home from spending the weekend with my two boys in the rustic camping cabin. It was our first time staying at Buck Hill Campground. My boys said it was the " best trip ever." I was impressed with all elements. The cabin was really clean and perfect for us three. The loft was perfect to allow for their own space. The queen downstairs was soft and slept well. There is so much to do at the campground, no real need to leave except for food! Fishing in the pond was great and is fully stocked, tubing on the river is perfect for all ages, arcade was a cool hangout for the kids, fire pit for smores every night, hiking trails to a great overlook, basketball courts, and a lot of friendly folks on property. The one thing that stood out the most was the good hosts. Christopher and his wife are very accommodating and go out of the way to make sure everyone is enjoying their stay! Will go back soon!

Nice quiet with fairly spaced sites. The bathhouse was a little dated but clean. The owners are very friendly and will help you with anything they can. The camp ground is centrally located to a lot of things to do. I will stay here again the next time we are in the area.
