I drove from San Clemente to take my wife here as a surprise to go parasailing for her birthday. She had never been before and always wanted to try it. So I called the day before to make reservation, the person on the phone gave me a reserved time and I thought everything would be good. Then the next day when we came to the park my wife saw what we’d be doing and was super excited. Despite having shown up at our reserved time, no one was there when we got there. We saw a “be back soon” sign on the door and decided to wait for a bit and nearly a half hour later still no one. I called the number on the sign but there was no answer, so we waited some more. Finally we saw the trip before us come in and a very confused looking employee. They asked if we had made a reservation and I said yes I called yesterday and was given a time. He responded by saying no one told him that and asked if I was sure I called the right number and suggested I call again, the number I had dialed nearly 10 minutes before at this point, so I did. This time someone picked up the line and I could tell it was the same person I talked to yesterday. Not only did they cancel our reservation due to “unfavorable weather” without telling us, they had actually moved the group with a reservation AFTER ours up to the morning before us which just doesn’t make sense. He tried to save face last minute by telling me he would call me back later today to let me know if the weather calmed down...it’s 10p.m. and no one called me back ever. Complete waste of my time, ZERO stars.
Not sure how this experience has gotten any 1 star’s. I visit Newport at least 2x a year and always book with Balboa Parasail and have an amazing experience. They are accommodating, kind, and follow safety procedures. Consider tipping them for their services! \u003c3
Great experience . I loved it. Be sure to book online and get benefit from (online , early birds, late discounts ). The parasaling itself is 7 minutes .Customer service shall be improved as what other reviewers mentioned
