Great trip! I liked how the trip leaders explained what to look for when trying to spot whales. I also liked how friendly they were, and how they communicated with other groups out on the water to try to give us the best experience. 10/10 recommend!

My wife and I have gone out with Newport Coastal Adventure on their RIB boats probably 6 or 7 times. We love the adventure, the sea animals, and the sheer exhilaration and excitement of the experience. No two rides are the same, so you can go again and again and never be disappointed. We have ridden with different Captains, and enjoyed each of them! Our last two rides, however, were private rides with Alex. As a former sailor myself, I can say that this guy is a pro from the start to the finish. His seamanship is excellent and you will be thrilled with his expertise in finding the absolute best way to position his RIB to get the very best view of every whale and dolphin encounter. Given that the stars of the show (the whales and dolphins), have their own ideas, Alex is a step ahead and you will get memories of a lifetime if you are fortunate to ride on his boat. Bring a camera and be prepared to be amazed.
We loved our trip. Caught sight of two fin whales and my girls enjoyed the fast paced ride over the waves getting up close and personal to the sea lions and dolphins on our way back. Thanks for the great excursion! This is now our go-to for whale watching!
It was a great experience! I took my mom for her birthday on 12/11 and she loved it. Alex, our captain, was great! I know you can’t “make the whales appear” but I was hoping we would see one and he didn’t everything he could to make that happen! Alex was in contact with other boats/people around to scout out a good spot to see some marine life! We saw a fin whale, sea lions and dolphins. It was great! Since I booked the private tour, I felt safe on a boat with just the three of us and the captain. I had a blast and would definitely book again, hopefully during a peak whale season.
Zodiac tour on 11/21/20 @ 930am was spectacular! It was a gorgeous day, the Captain was knowledgeable & engaging...wish we could have stayed out on the boat all day:)
