Such a fun atmosphere! Went here during Valentines’ Day during dinner, and the food was delicious and had generous portions. We shared the “Munich Sampler”, which included different sausages and a breaded pork chop, and I tried out the Bavarian Jägerschnitzel, which included a pan-seared pork chop, fried cabbage, and potato salad. The potato salad was interestingly sweet, but I personally enjoyed the uniqueness of the menu items. This is a place worth visiting in the area for a date, or with family too!

I would never really seek out German food, but I was excited to try Hofbräuhaus based on a friend's recommendation. The service was fantastic, including patiently walking us through some menu items. The beer was very good, and we all liked the sampler appetizer. Beyond that, I'll just say I have a feeling the food was exactly as a fan would want it. Just still isn't my type of food, unfortunately. Very good value for the prices. The polka music began to drive me slightly insane after 30 minutes or so. Good selection of kids' items and plenty of menu items that aren't German. I'd still go back and try one of the burgers!

Hofbräuhaus is an institution in Cincinnati (Northern KY, but you get the idea) - a city that takes a lot of pride in their German heritage. A faithful representation of the original in Germany, Hofbräuhaus Newport is a wonderful place to go to pregame before a Reds and Bengals game, or to just sit outside and enjoy a liter of beer with some pretzels on a beautiful day. The food is authentically German, with plenty of options for those that might be timid. The bar and waitstaff are all friendly, and adept at handling people who maybe should not have had a whole liter of beer. If you’ve come while the live music is playing, you’re in for a treat! Stand up and sing along - they’ll teach you the lyrics.

I was hesitant to go to a German restaurant. I'm not big on German food, but our hotel attendant said it was very good & worth trying. Boy was he right!!! I ordered the Hot Brown (turkey & ham on a potato cake smothered with Swiss & Beer Cheese. Yummy. I wish it had been bigger, but then I couldn't have held the dessert: a big 'ole cream puff-\thank you\! My friend ordered a delicious hamburger. She said when she bit into it, it was so juicy she was afraid it was rare. It was not, it was medium well, as ordered. If you're a beer drinker, this is your place! If you're not a beer drinker, this is your place! I would eat here again & again.
