Breathtaking views of mansions that are strangely Magnifique and Scary Chilly winds add to mystery and history is coming with a cost. Each mansion charges a handsome amount, so you need local help in identifying places worth the visit. Else, you might miss the best

Newport is one of the oldest settlements in the Americas. Definitely one of the oldest cities in the US. The district is well preserved - With buildings, churches and even houses meticulously and beautifully maintained. Speaking of which, most of the houses here are still inhabited. Be careful if you feel like checking out an old iron door knocker! While there, also be careful about being too invasive in people's privacy. Having said that, if you're a history buff - This place is the Kingdom of Heaven!
Great history here and even came across reenactments of the early days.
Extraordinarily well-preserved town. So much to see and do and all saturated in historical context. Definitely a must visit for the Colonial period afficionado.
Fun and lots to see if you like history. Harbor view restaurants don't disappoint with views.
