This building is closed, but it doesn’t seem to be a museum at all. It looks like a community center. It says Martin Luther King Center and has a couple statues, but definitely not museum. I also noticed on gps, it pins two separate buildings. Both are in the same building. I was disappointed because I wanted to see a museum with Afro Artifacts. Two stars because community centers are needed.

We learned a lot about our history
I am thrilled at the success of the African American Heritage Museum of Southern New Jersey in Newtonville, NJ. There is always historical displays regarding the African American experience. The Museum is housed inside of the Community Center which I will provide a more intense review of. This is a treasure for the community and all who visit.
Great place to learn about yourself and the culture.
Educational and good people!!!
