Total junk. Not sure how they are in business. No one is ever there. The pasta definitely used old, canned sauce. Service is way too slow if you want to get your food in a reasonable amount of time. I went once and was shocked that this place remains open.

Nino's has to be the most underrated pizza place in Berkeley. The quality of the food is on par with Zacharies Pizza at a slightly lower price point (everything is made from scratch in their open kitchen). Service is nothing to write home about but the waitress was very flexible with our orders (any combination of mixing and matching toppings and base). The restaurant was completely empty when I was there, but don't let it fool you, the food is terrific!

Go to Nino's when you want Brazilian food. The pizzas are okay, but you can get pizza anywhere. Nino's has the best coxinhas I've ever had (spiced chopped chicken rolled in manioc dough and deep fried), and their pexe dishes are fantastic. If you have a hankering for Brazilian cuisine, or just want to try something new, give it a shot.
