This is an interesting place right in downtown Osseo with a strange fusion of Indian and New Orleans cuisines. Not something that is expected, but it works. The staff is friendly the food is quite good and the prices are reasonable. They also have a nice list of wine and local micro brews. I've been there a few times and I've never been disappointed. I would definitely recommend Nola to those who who live in the area and have never been. It's worth checking out.

The food, drinks and atmosphere is amazing. The owners and waitstaff are very friendly and knowledgeable about their fusion cuisine and their unique drinks.
Good options on the menu, NOLA specialities and some good fusion combinations. The food tasted great and well presented, however, I was bit disappointed with the quantity for the money we paid. The waiter (probably Erik) was very nice, prompt and courteous. Very pleasant ambiance.
We very much enjoyed the atmosphere, with French doors open to the evening along one whole wall. Our waitress was very helpful in finding something on the menu that I could eat with my food allergies, but otherwise service was slow at times. The food was delicious, but expensive for the portions you get, and since half of each of our entrees was rice, it wouldn't have cost them much more to give us a full meal. We were also disappointed that they don't do beignets, since we had room for dessert.
3.5 - Food is good, not great, and service is fine. Management cares but ambiance is a bit sparse but getting better every year. My wife and I arrived without reservations and noticed that the restaurant was about 25% seated, but were told that they were full with reservations and probably couldn’t serve us dinner. We were fine sitting in the bar/waiting area for a drink. We were seated after only 10 minutes and curiously the place never got more than 30% occupied. The server was nice but the table visits were rare (the salad dishes and appetizer dishes were still on the table when the entree arrived - I hunted down silverware and a napkin and it all seemed rather odd for a 90.00 meal for two)
Date nights are rare for my husband and I and date nights that don't include fast food are even rarer. We'd been planning on trying Nola out for over a year and finally made it there - I'm kicking myself for not going sooner! The waitress and owner were very welcoming and helpful. I had the jambalaya and my husband had the chicken satay - both were amazing and seasoned to perfection. This is definitely a hidden gem worth visiting in the NW suburbs for!
I just discovered this great restaurant 6 miles from my house! After learning more about their approach to food and conservation, this is a place I would travel across town for. They make a point of only cooking with the healthiest oils and ingredients. We were treated to a "chef's choice" meal with fresh produce, bought that day from the farmers market. Everything was homemade and delicious. Loved the funky New Orleans decor.
You walk in, and it's like entering an entirely different world than Osseo, MN. Beautiful decor of all sorts. Their menu mostly consists of locally sourced food items, so much of the food is seasonal. The flavor of the food is fantastic. I was absolutely blown away with the quality. If this place was downtown Minneapolis, people would be paying three times as much for this food. Don't go in here expecting a hamburger and fries, though. They had several unique drinks that they make the syrups for in house. Great quality! Without question, if you're looking for a place to eat, go here. You won't be disappointed.
