What great guys here. They were able to help me tweak my board and the boards I bought as Christmas presents. 4pm is when they offer open ramp. Friendly and Knowledgeable staff. Will definitely come back here. They even gave me some stickers to place on their new long boards.

Skateboarding is a great activity for kids during quarantine! I am a dad who doesn't know a lot about skateboarding, with 2 kids who like to skate. I bought 2 boards for my kids from Cardinal a few years ago at their old location. We had such a good experience and they were so helpful that when it was time for a new board for my son we bypassed the other skate shops in VA Beach and drove to their new location in Norfolk. The staff at Cardinal is very knowledgable about their products and skateboarding. They took the time to talk to my teenage son on his level and really understand what he wanted. He has grown A LOT in the last couple of years and is doing different stuff on his skateboard now. They built him a skateboard that he absolutely LOVES and wants to ride ALL THE TIME. We had previously bought another (cheap) skateboard from one of the clothing shops in VA Beach, and it just did not skate as well, and it was hard for my son to stay interested. If you are a parent and your kids are even semi-serious about skating, I recommend you go visit the great staff at Cardinal Skate Shop!

Today was my first and last time even considering purchasing anything from this business. I literally called the store once and no pick up. I called the store back 10 minutes later to inquire on a couple of items and I’m hearing from a complete stranger “employee or whomever” that I have been harassing them when they literally just answered the phone. So of course I let him rant and go to tell him. He has me confused and claims he has caller ID . Which clearly isn’t doing anything because still sir you can’t keep up with who is really harassing you. “NEVER HAVE I SPOKE WITH ANYONE FROM THIS BUSINESS NOR DID I HEAR ABOUT IT TIL TODAY”. So to whomever was on the other end of the phone coming from a business owner DO BETTER. Thankfully I came across Skate supply and they took care of me .

Owner was pretty rude to my son and I. Seems like if your not part of the "cool guy crew" in the shop than your not welcome. Also how do u preach about being skater owned but only carry corporate brands?? Oh, and you can't skate the ramp in the back until after 4 because the owner hates the sound of skateboarding..go figure

Learned a lot about the parts of a skateboard and walked out with exactly what I wanted. The people are nice as can be and extremely welcoming. Very chill vibe which is definitely what you want to see when you are just getting started skating.
