Dr. Johnson had to go in and repair damage from a previous surgery. He was great and made me feel comfortable and confident in him Everytime he checked in on me. I hope his students takes his lessons to heart. We need more Dr. David Johnson's in the medical field.
When we lived in Virginia, we kept going to the ER...over and over because I was in severe pain. This went on for a good year almost. We went anywhere from 2 to 4 times a week. Each time the same thing would happen..they would do an xray, say they saw nothing, and send us home with the same pain prescription, which went into a folder because I wasn't getting them filled because they weren't working. I got accused of seeking pain meds, to which we just started taking the folder full of prescriptions with us to the ER after that..I was even refused treatment because they said they couldn't find nothing to be wrong. Finally, one morning we arrived around 9 am..my husband had had enough and told them that he was not taking me home until they figured out what was wrong. He also threatened to contact the media and anyone else he had to because this had been going on for so long. Finally, at 10 pm when another ER doc came on duty he came in and asked if anyone had done an endoscopy..to which we answered no. He said he had found a doctor that was willing to do an endoscopy the next morning and they were booking me. That doctor was Dr. Johnson. He discovered that I had gastroparesis. That was never going to be discovered by an xray. Thanks to Dr. Johnson my year of severe stomach pain was finally getting taken care of. If just one of the ER doctors had done something other than an xray...I wouldn't have spent an entire year in pain, nor have the bills that I do. I will forever be grateful that Dr. Johnson took time to see us and treat me!!
