We enjoy eating out. Last night we arrived in this magnificent place which we didn’t know before. We had a delightful evening there with fine cooking and an experienced crew and a distinguished cook. We added this venue in our phone list and we will definitely go again very soon. We warmly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful. I went to school there, later I was an instructor there, i got married at the Blue Jackets Chapel there, I was stationed on the amphibious assault craft and i retired from there. No finer base in the Navy. Sailors are born there; shipmates train there, memories are made there. Men were made for ships. Ships were made for sea. And, all land is merely a hazard to navigation; except for Great Lakes. It is a Sailor's homeport and destination.
I was a new recruit here many years ago..older recruits told us we had to salute the torpedo in front of the chow hall..and the menu, or we would be written up..fun memories
I was able to find what I was looking for, but shocked at the disrepair the roads are in and lack of general maintenance.
Awesome base, was invited to the museum and onto base to visit for a night a few years back
