Just did a beginners backcountry skiing class yesterday and it was phenomenal. Keith is an awesome instructor, personable and eager to answer all our questions. Only 4 students per class so you get the chance to ask all the questions you want. 175 for a full day of instruction, great skiing, and equipment? Ridiculous value. Didn't hurt that we had perfect weather either.

Great place to get some outdoor training! I completed two ice climbing courses and did the Lafayette winter hike. They provide high quality equipment to ensure you have a good time. Highly recommend Cheyenne as your guide.
Did a mountaineering course last year and an introductory ice climbing course this year with Cheyenne. Both trips were amazing and everyone we dealt with was great. Extremely knowledgeable guides help you build knowledge and feel comfortable in whatever activity you are trying to learn. Highly recommend to any adventurer.
Always stop there when I'm on the strip. Knowledgeable staff that actually use a lot of the gear. Depending on brand prices are decent. They have a variety of styles to choose from. Store is well laid out and clean. Can't say good enough things about the helpful staff. Have made informed purchases based on their input.
This is the place for serious outdoor gear for hiking, biking, snow sports. Most of the other stores in the North Conway store area will sell you a fleece or some hiking boots but that is where they end. EMS on the other hand has everything from tents to water purifiers to ice crampons Get outfitted for your next trip and even sign up for lessons from pros.
