My favorite BSA camp for weekend camping for over a decade. It's beautiful, the cabins and campsites are great, and the activities are plentiful. Plus you can't beat a hike along the Bay's shoreline. Even with any many trips as I've taken there, I know that there is more to explore within the wilderness area and other campsites. Truly a great place to go!

Amazing place to be, can't wait to go again. The only downside was the food, it was utter garbage. This was 2016 and they just got a new catering service so hopefully it's better now. People were amazing, activities were amazing. Really amazing place to go. You have to go here at least one it's like a resort.

Our BSA troop comes here every other year, and other years were better than 2019. This year, our campsite was on a steep hill, with few level tent sites, and no level ground. Some of the sites have small kitchens, which are nice, but ours did not. It rained day and night for four out of five days, and the mediocre roads became treacherous. One of our leaders broke a collar bone and a boy scout needed seven stitches after bike wrecks due to poor road conditions. We heard of many other bike-related injuries during the week, some due to the roads, others due to steep hills and inexperienced riders. The camp is spread out, so bikes are nice, but almost all of the pothole-riddled roads do not support mixed bike and pedestrian traffic well. Lots of great merit badges - the boating activities were especially nice and less common at other camps. Nice shooting ranges and science facilities. The air conditioned leaders lounge was nice, but don't expect the wifi to work. The food was good, not great, but the staff were excellent - I was very impressed with every member of the staff. There were better campsites at the camp - with one of the flatter and nicer sites and improved, safer roads for both pedestrians and bicyclists, this camp would be much more enjoyable and much safer. Side note: Bugs are part of camping, but I've never camped with this many bugs: hundreds of daddy-long leg spiders, a lot of giant wolf spiders, a few black widows the size of large blueberries, along with beetles, cockroaches, lots of other flying insects and thousands of mosquitoes. Bring a mosquito net and LOTS of bug spray and check for ticks - we averaged one tick per 3 scouts.

One of the best Scout camps for younger Scouts, but have a lot to do for older Scouts. Covers a lot of ground, with hills, so expect to get your exercise in. Staff is always there to help and listen, and will do what they can to assist you and make your \stay\ enjoyable. Of course to really enjoy you have to participate, try the Bay Hike even.
