No doubt about it, the head instructor knows his stuff. But he has lost his teaching ways. He holds students back because of money. The longer a teacher holds his students from advancement the more money he makes. This is the case at this studio. I would not recommend.

This a great school for all levels, especially if you're new, as Professor Dartanian takes a special interests in white belts to ensure they learn proper technique. I started as a white belt last September in 2018. Professor always told me, “Mason you need to slow down and practice what I’m teaching, so you don’t get hurt.” I’m still working on that:), but he gave me my blue after 7 months of training. I would highly recommend this academy to anyone looking to get into Brazilian Jujitsu or to continue their training.

Altough I have not trained for a hot minute, I can say from personal experience that this is one of the best bjj gym's you can go to, full of friendly and respectful people. Nobody has big egos, Dartanian is one of the nicest people you will meet.
