Amazing dojo. Great sensei knowledge and leadership, observe coronavirus protocols to teach in person or on zoom. If you're looking to start or continue martial arts training I'd recommend this spot without a second thought.

My husband and I cannot speak highly enough about Shaolin Defense Academy and the amazing group of human beings who work there and the owner Donnie. Yesterday my son earned his yellow belt and it was the culmination of a lot of hard work, patience, smiles and at time tears. My 7 year old is on the autism spectrum and it can be hard to find the right places for him to do extracurricular activities since it takes a certain kind of instructor to keep him focused and motivated and we found that with Sensei Gabe. He is kind, patient, nurturing and just amazing with children. We are moving out of state next month and leaving this studio is the one things we will miss the most. My son keeps saying he doesn’t want to leave Sensei Gabe which breaks my heart but I’m so grateful for the time we were able to spend here. Shaolin Defense Academy is so much more than a karate studio, it truly is a special place.

Great dojo! This place is amazing for adults and kids. They are definitely keeping it a clean and safe place to come to, with so many options to choose on how to practice. Whether it be virtual, outside and/or private lessons. And i love that they always work with your schedule. Definitely try them out!!!

SASDA is the most positive, supportive, welcoming community I've ever been a part of. It truly warms my heart. All of the instructors are kind, knowledgeable and amazing teachers. They are also rigorously committed to keeping their students safe and healthy during the pandemic with socially distanced and online classes. I joined this dojo about 10 months ago (mostly to be a workout buddy for a friend) and I'm so glad I did! Not only has studying Kenpo made me feel stronger and more confident physically but mentally it has given me something to focus on, something to work toward at time when it feels like the world is on pause. To anyone considering studying a martial art, I cannot recommend SASDA highly enough.

The instructors are wonderful with children. I am in awe what they are able to get them to do and for how long. They have great patience and are willing to work hard for your kids. We signed up one of our kids and the second watched and loved the other one do much that they both wanted to he in self defense. It has taught them so much and have recommended it all of my friends. We travel from downtown to get here and love it so much.
