This shop has such great customer service, always seeing if you're getting the help you need without being overbearing. It's a hard balance to strike always being there at the ready with any information you want without ever being pushy and they strike it beautifully. Have bought four bikes from them thus far and will continue to be a customer in the future. They also have a great selection of all of the core needs of a cyclist from equipment and tires to bikes and accessories. Also there Intel on local trails both paved and dirt, and the best roads to ride are second to none. Best bike shop I've ever worked with!

Original Summer 2016ish: This is the store that got me rolling on a sweet commuter setup, and is always there to answer my questions, keep me tuned up, and offer encouragement and support as I roll along. All the technicians I've worked with have been fantastic, each one has an infectious love for cycling and takes the time to answer questions and show me how to adjust my bike as I need to. Whether you're considering a new bike, or just find yourself at the top of the Dubuque Street trail, it's always worth stopping in to say, \Hello!\, do some shopping, or get advice. Update July 2020: A few years later and time for some routine service work on my daily rider. I sent them an email asking how long the wait was, etc... they invited me to drop it off at my convenience and turned around a replacement of a bottom bracket within a day. Big thanks to Jon, Nate, and the rest of the crew at Sugar Bottom for keeping me (and the rest of the cycling community) rolling. Y'all are awesome!

I ordered a Tacx trainer from these guys. It shipped same day and arrived in pristine condition. Can’t recommend enough.

It was a pleasure doing business with the folks at Sugar Bottom Bikes. I originally found them through BikeExchange.com as I was looking for a road bike. I spoke with John, Walker, Eric, and Nate. They were collectively helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and patient as they assisted with the purchase of my bike over the phone. The delivery of the bike came super quick. I would recommend this shop as they have delivered a great customer experience.

I had a pleasant experience at Sugar Bottom Bikes. I worked with a guy named Walker that was very knowledgeable and worked with me to make sure all my questions about the bike were answered, even if he didn't know he looked into it immediately. I would recommend to anyone looking into buying a bike or accessories. Update Less than 2 months after I purchased my 1,700 bike 2 spokes broke. I called Sugar Bottom up and they told me to take it to a local shop in my home town. Not the answer I was looking for as it was just a minor fix and I thought they would take care of the issue directly. Instead I ran around to every single bike shop in town and none of them had the right size spoke for my bike. So I got with the manufacture and they had to send me the spokes. I just can't believe that a bike shop could do that to a customer that's only owned a bike for 2 months!
