If you are looking for a mass in Spanish that will really catch your attention and keep you awake, go to the Spanish mass on Sunday at 1230 hosted by father Freddy Yara, he is full of spirit, hear him once and you will want to come back next Sunday to hear him again. While in Miami I was driving out of my area to attend his mass. Now I'm in Arizona and wish the mass was streamed or recorded and posted online. Guaranteed when I go back I will attend this church again. The Latin community is very active and caring.

I grew up in Miami, my house was like five mins away from St. James and I would go there frequently on Sundays, sometimes Tuesdays and Thursdays. I've been part of that church before I was even born and I'm going to be twenty-one real soon so -- yeah, it's been that long. Nevertheless, I got thrown out into the streets when I was nine years old, alone with my brother, then my parents relocated us to Port St. Lucie and we lived there for two years and then we relocated to Melbourne, Florida and I've lived here for exactly ten years. All in all, I did happen to go and stop by every once in awhile to Miami and visit the church, however things have never been the same. I miss living there in Miami, that church was my life and will always be a part of me. I may have lost touched with all of my family because of the choices they have made, even so, my brother and I got each other and we're trying to make it on our own terms and so we could give our futures a whole new meaning. Through all the hardships that we both endured by our parents who are now separated, we even received a lot of negativity from our grandmother who is currently a big member of that church still, all in all, I still miss it over there.
