Not only we were greeted by attentive staff right away, we were offered seating outside quickly, and our server was so sweet. Laurie did an awesome job recommending wines and was such a friendly and courteous server. She really appreciated our wearing masks at the table whenever she came to check on us too, which surprised us that she must not have a ton of respectful guests! Either way, AH made delicious wines, had some good ones to take to go, and weren’t overpriced. We’ll definitely be back!

I've been drinking August Hill wines for over a decade now and, even though I now live in the other side of the country, I still drink them regularly. As one of the first places I visit when I return to the Illinois Valley to visit family, they continue to impress with their amazing vintages and flawless service, as well as continual improvements to the location. Their new (to me) tasting room is gorgeous (and Covid safe) and perfectly decorated in a wonderfully understated style. Whether you're just visiting the area or a long-time local, you owe it to yourself to stop in for a flight or three and a few bottles to take home. Truly one of the Illinois Valley's gems.

Very quaint winery. Small town greatness. My daughter took me there as it's her favorite winery! Give it a try. U won't be disappointed. You will want to buy an assortment. The staff is ever so friendly n knowledgeable.

In COVID times they offered a great selection of wines and some snacks that go perfectly with the wino in A safe settings. Patio is a perfect location for a short brake I know during colder weather they also offered a hot wine. All the wines that are offered for consumption can be purchased at the store..perfect combination.
