I can’t even begin to explain how pleased we were with working with Northern Sound. We used their DJ and Videography package which was reasonably priced and very high quality work! Since we did the package we had 2 people at the venue but they worked together well. Tom was the videographer and assisted the DJ. We liked that they did a face to face meeting prior to the wedding date to talk about expectations and songs/type of music we expected. Tom also brought the equipment for the videography part which included a drone which was perfect for our outdoor wedding venue. Tom was able to capture such special moments from our day, small things like when we held hands or the goofy cute moments, and compiled them in such a way that made us feel “all the feels” we had on our wedding day. In terms of the DJ Experience, this too was exceptional. Again with our outdoor wedding you would have never known it was outdoors with how good the quality of their equipment was. Our guests were having such a fun time we asked the DJ to stay one extra hour which was SO nice of them after a long hot day. Overall, I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a high quality, affordable option for wedding DJ and/or Videography.

Our wedding reception was a blast thanks to Bjorn! The folks at Northern Sound were very attentive and carry incredibly contagious fun and positive attitudes! First, I would like to say I did appreciate being refunded my money for this service. I would also like to make clear the Dj that had shown up was not professional. As a bride, I did not appreciate being yelled at when confronted about the situation. I also did not appreciate being interrupted when trying to speak, to just continue to be yelled at. We had a lawyer look into our situation before moving forward and it was determined we were NOT breaking any violations. Also, the the district attorney is not prosecuting mask violations, I cannot force others to wear them. I do sincerely understand that the health and safety of employees should come first and I do NOT blame wanting to not continue the service. However, there is a more professional way to handle the situation. Yelling at my guests and slamming things around I also believe is not professional. I could not handle the rudeness to take care of the situation myself and I do apologize for some of things. Second, there were several occasions in which I had asked about restrictions and guidelines since I know this is a trying time for everyone. And NOT once was anything mentioned. Had I been informed of ongoing changes we could have been more prepared or found another person willing to do the event, but leaving it to the very last minute was very unfair. I also feel if someone asks for a business card it should not be refused and a reason for asking for it should not have to be told just to have one, and I know there was refusal of giving a business card. I also felt it was not the Dj's place to tell me I had to send people home. I do appreciate the courtesy of sticking around to tell the groom and I the situation but why did he continue to be set up and play music for an entire hour while guests were arriving and then decide this was not okay and make a scene. And the DJ was at least 6 feet away from guests. There is a way to talk to people that was more professional than the experience we had.
