Some people buy a new motorcycle every year or so and some people keep what they have and maintain it. I happen to be the latter of the two. When I found Babbitt's I was looking for OEM replacement parts for my Vintage 1979 XS1100 Yamaha that I bought new in 1980. the way I see it I have a great motorcycle that has given me many years of service and the only way to keep it is to maintain it. There are not many company's out their that have 42 year old parts that are still new. Sometimes you can spend a lot of time searching and come up dry and sometimes you find a great source that's Babbitt's.
The online experience was great. Found the ignition switch I needed and made the purchase on 2/14/21. On 2/18/21 I received an email stating it had been discontinued. My money was promptly refunded which I appreciated. I was disappointed with waiting for 4 days to find out you didn't have it.
Shipping was pretty slow. Needed parts for customer and feel that even if I chose your fastest option, it would have been a week later before you shipped. But it's pandemic so I understand for sure. Might have to use my local dealer next time I work on a Honda. However you have a great website and part finder tool.
We ordered a mooring cover for a 19' Yamaha boat and it is an amazing product. It fits like a factory manufacture and not something purchased on the after market. We were very impressed with the cut outs around every cleat, zipper compartments and ratchet tightening system. To use an old cliche - 'it fits like a glove'!
