Bret Shallenberger, the owner of NxtGen, is a complete scammer—DO NOT trust him. We paid him the deposit and the money for the dig, which came out to 32,500, and now we can’t get a hold of him to finish the job. It’s been over three months and Bret is no where to be found. I hope this review saves at least one other consumer from getting ripped off. The pictures below are of our hole.

6 months into our pool installation that was supposed to take 4 weeks, Bret refuses to return calls and give us any information on the status. We are left with a partial pool installed, beyond the supposed materials he said were delayed, we called the company who makes the materials they assured us the materials were available. Time to contact our attorney as he has left us no other choice

I am so impressed with this company. Bret is easy to work with. He did an amazing job on our pool. He promised me, barring bad weather, that he would get the pool finished by our completion date and he did it! His crew were extremely hard workers. We highly recommend Bret and Nxtgen.

I thought we did our homework before choosing Next Gen ( Brett Shallenberger). He had us snowed. Our pool looked great, for a couple months. He never did come back to vent our heater to bring it to code and make it safe. We had to find and pay, an outside plumber to do that. Then, it started with the lights shorting out. Numerous calls and no answers or return calls from Brett. When Brett did answer, promises and lies. We again had to pay an outside company to come and fix them. We learned they were installed wrong. Then we started dealing with cracking in the pool. Brett blamed it on the company and promised to help us out. Again, unanswered calls from Brett and the run around. Again, paid out of pocket to fix the issue. Now, dealing with all tile around pool and spa, falling off. By this time, the pool is 2 years old and has had one problem after another, do to poor installation. Brett did a great job of coming out and looking at the tile problem. Played the concerned builder. He agreed to get a crew out to replace. Guess what? After we drained our pool and supported the way we needed to, he never came back. We’ve never heard from him again. No return calls, no return text, empty promises and lies. His business is based on lies. If you don’t have a reliable builder for your fiberglass pool, buyer beware. It’s very difficult to find people that work on them. Brett, runs for the hills, once your stuck with his product and installation. His word and Warrenty means nothing.

I went to NXT Gen to look at some Paver stone. I found Bret very personable. I haven't bought the pavers yet, but I do intend on buying some of their Artistic Pavers very soon.
