Was there yesterday with my son and I was so greatful for all the wonderful nurses, doctors & technicians! I so wish I could remember the nurse who was with us all day but Mary Kate took over for her! That nurse from the time we entered till her shift ended was so sweet caring and all around wonderful!!! Thank you so much!!! Mary Kate you were fabulous as well!!! Thank you all for being so great! You are so appreciated from this worried mama!!! ️️️

The worst experience of my life. I went in with a dangerously dehydrated child, who had previously diagnosed ear infectiona stomach flu. I had to wait for 5 hRs to get a room and after getting a room, the treatment of the doctors, technicians and most of the nursing staff was cavalier.and insensitive. They completely disregarded his pain, had no empathy, bad bedside manners and incompetent to boot. Discharged him with zofran. No acknowledgement that he had not been able to take anything orally for two days (the reason for our visit) needed some IV antibiotics for his ear since he had consistently been vomiting out all his medicine. When I asked them about it, they told me that since I had to medicine at home I could continue giving it! No duh! But I can't because he vomited it out!!! So after spending 11 hrs at the hospital being poked and prodded, the only thing they did that was any use was the saline drip. But I can foresee us having to go back.. definitely not the same hospital, since he is just as lethargic and can't eat or drink anything. If you can go somewhere else, do it. Don't go to the children's hospital. Personally I like the Hinsdale Adventist best. I should have stuck to it.
