Home Instead is a great place for your love ones. My wife and I used them to take care of our dad, it was the best thing that happen to us. The staff and owner was extremely helpful, compassionate, knowledgeable about the hospice process care. If you're looking for a Home Care agency I highly recommend them.

You could not be in better hands for your loved ones requiring senior care than the folks at Home Instead Senior Care (Oak Park, IL) office. My family cannot say enough good things about the owner/ Managing Director Richard Harrison and his team! Our Dad had a massive stroke which left him bedridden, for which we were totally unprepared and unknowledgeable about his continuing home care. Richard Harrison and his team were lifesavers for our family - they educated us, and then were with us every step of the way in providing guidance and home care. I don’t know what we would have done without their guidance & support until my father eventually passed away at age 92. Your loved ones could not be in better hands - my family and I highly recommend them!
My siblings and I cannot say enough about the wonderful care for us and for our dad as we sought support for him. He was 100 years old and, up until then, and with the exception of his bath, he was independently taking care of himself. It was a delicate process to have extra care yet, after meeting the Harrisons from Home Instead, he sensed their integrity and genuine care and also respect for his dignity. He was still more accepting when he experienced the care by the caregiver they chose for him. This all occurred during what was to be his final weeks with us. My siblings all had interactions with the Harrisons and the caregiver and all of us are truly grateful for their role in our lives.
We used Home Instead Senior Care for my elderly parents. The owner, Richard Harrison, spent a great deal of time meeting with us in order to understand my parents care needs and found care providers that truly meet the needs of both parents. And as my parents needs changed, they were able to meet the new care needs. All the caretakers were outstanding! They were always available to talk about any minor concerns we had and took action to address them. They also have a Client Care Coordinator that came to the home regularly to ensure everything was going well for my parents. I highly recommend Home Instead as they do help \seniors age with dignity in their homes and giving their adult children peace of mind.
I have had a positive experience with Home Instead Senior Care since my first contacts with the Oak Park office. When you start the process with the office, the head of the office comes to meet you in your home in order to assess your situation. Based on that initial experience, a caregiver is matched to your needs. I have been extremely lucky with that match. Elizabeth Bingham, who has been with us nearly six months, is perfect for us. She has worked in the field for sixteen or seventeen years, often as a live-in caregiver. In our case she works four days a week. She not only cooks for us when needed and gets my husband's lunch, but she also helps me understand how to cope with his dementia. She is a godsend. Based on my experience with the local organization, I would recommend Home Instead's services.
