It was a great place but now they have gone out of business.

Talked to Branden on a Thursday about a lawn tractor. Stated it was in the warehouse and would be available the next day in the store. Come Friday and it wasn't there, but Branden claimed it would be there Saturday for sure. It never arrived. Off to their competition I went. Had the lawn tractor I wanted, delivered same day, Saturday, and for less. I prefer to support local business, but when they can't commit to their own timelines, what options does a consumer have but to go elsewhere.

This seems to be a family run business, main store in the very small country town of oakbough NC. They have other stores in several other nearby towns. I have had work performed on my riding mower and other power tools (weed whacker). I believe they have different mechanics working on these categories of equipment. Recently had two week turnaround on weed whacker. Riding mower was five weeks maybe six. So probably a 4 out of 5 stars on rider mower work but very slow turnaround. Best to get work done off-season. I usually travel futher distance to their main store which I find more convenient hours wise, because the Mint Hill store near me is rarely open for working people. If your retired or a farmer or say in the lawn care business the hours are more suited for you. I go here because I find it hard to find other competent businesses in the same line of business. They will pick up quickly and deliver for reasonable fee. I believe they send equipment to main store for actual repair from their surrounding stores.

They do not pay their help. They do not have inventory nor a line of credit to get parts. They waste hours and hours trying to make parts work that are broken because they can not afford to buy the needed part. The owner will not take responsibility for his actions and blames everyone and anyone he can to avoid the simple truth. This man is not equipped or able to properly run a business. He would be out of business if he did things legally so he cuts every corner and puts out a crappy product. He is a con man and his shop is a joke. He can't keep a mechanic because he will not pay them, will waste his money and then blame the mechanic for him being broke. Your mower will not be fixed correctly, but he will hold it for weeks trying to steal enough money from people who are fool enough to trust him so he can get parts. All the while lying to you about why it is not fixed.

Awful. My wife ordered a part for our mower over a month ago and we have heard nothing. Called two weeks after we ordered and they still said it wasn't in. Very sad because we like to buy local.

Ron or Rob?...that was working the counter was the least interested customer service or sales person I've ever met. He was on the phone when I walked in and I heard him tell the person on the phone with a customer walked in so I was thinking I was going to get service but he was not helpful, not volunteering information, was grumpy, I don't know why hung up with the customer on the phone I didn't get the impression he want to deal with customers on the phone or that were in the store. Every time I would ask a question he would say "well I have to look that up" like he was hoping I wouldn't bother him to look it up.. So I would ask him to look it up and he would do that with a scowl on his face. Then I would ask the next question and he would say he has to look that up and I would ask him to go ahead and look it up. This went on several times. I would rather drive to Oakboro Ormond Road to deal with I helpful friendly sales person then buy something from this guy.

Had a Deck Drive belt replace here, within a few months the belt was loose again. No way a new belt wore out that fast.
