Huge, beautiful park. I've only been here during the fall and winter, so I'd imagine it would be even nicer in the spring and summer. Trails range from 1 mile to 8 miles, and you can potentially combine some of them. It makes for a great, scenic walk.

Outstanding park with great views and trails. The hatchery was really cool and it’s a fantastic place to hit up even in the cold

Big park nice trails be prepared for a long hike and have a map with you if you’ve never been/are but familiar with the trails. Stay off the brush and check for ticks regularly. If you follow these tips you’ll have a great time!

We hiked the park one end to the other and then back again. Today's weather was spectacular, but stll this is a wonderful park, especially if you want a sample of Long Island pine barrens \wilderness.\ This is one of the few parks on Long Island where you can hike most of the day and not hear traffic noise. Nothing terribly exciting, but a really nice green space. The fish hatchery was a key feature as were the lakes and old lodges. There is a variety of trails from paved to horse trails to narrow backwoods.
