I was going to go to a spot I've been to before but two places were closed so I decided to pop into Anula's cafe. I was met by two friendly women behind the counter--they are quite cheeky. It's great! There was also a stream of repeat customers that came in and out and it just added to a comfortable atmosphere. I had the Monday vegetarian special with lentils, eggplant, kale and tofu. It was a little spicy but I like that! I don't usually like kale but this was very well prepared in that it was cooked through and flavorful with just a little crunch. The taste reminded me a bit of collard greens. I regret not grabbing a piece of the banana cake which other patrons were purchasing and raving about! Guess I have to go back.

A small little shop with a frindly Sri Lankan lady who cooks all the food herself. Amazing food and great price.
Tried the veggie and also the chicken Sri Lanka and they were really good. I also tried the jerked chiken tamales they were alright. Place is really tiny basically to order for take out. Service is super friendly!
