I simply cannot recommend Chris more highly. He has thought through every aspect of his show from behind the scenes questions for parents to an absolutely perfect show for our 4 year old. This show was such a wonderful celebration, especially in the COVID era. Thank you so much, Chris, for making our daughter’s birthday so special and for giving us the opportunity to celebrate with all our friends and family, regardless of pod and location! (It was a zoom puppet show.)

STOP reading reviews and Book Ricky Roo NOW!! Chris is amazing and gets all the kids involved and for little kids he warms them up by introducing the puppets before the show starts so they understand what is going on. We had 2yrs -9yrs at our daughters B-day party and they ALL loved it and were engaged the entire time. We had multiple parents tell us that this was the best show they have seen and they were even entertained. He lets the kids play with all the puppets before the show starts so they get interested in the puppets. If you are looking for a great addition to your kids B-day or special event Chris will modify the content of the show to fit the occasion. I recommend you book Ricky Roo and his friends ASAP!!!

We absolutely loved this experience! We had a virtual birthday party with Ricky Roo for my daughter’s third birthday. Her and her 4 year old brother and all their friends laughed throughout the entire show! There was dancing, singing, magic tricks... the entire show was personalized to her and her brother (and their cat which they LOVED!) and she was AMAZED! What a special and spectacular way to celebrate - we highly recommend it! We received so many messages from friends and family afterward telling us what a fun and engaging show it was. Chris was super kind and professional, did a great job at hosting the party and moving us from one portion to the next. The emails and communication we received between booking and the party date were very informative, helpful, timely - I never had any questions because they provided me with everything I needed. Everything was perfect!

We really enjoyed our virtual birthday party. My son was turning 4 and was desperately sad that he couldn't have a big party with a bouncy castle and all his friends. When I suggested a zoom party my husband thought I was crazy (we've all seen how long our younger kids attention span lasts on zoom). Ricky Roo prepared a great show for us and was able to integrate all the little details we sent into a personalized performance for my son and 15 of his little friends (plus Aunties, Uncles and Grandma and Grandpa)! My son was super excited to see his favorite stuffed animal had a character in the show too. Amazed to see all the kids engaged right from the beginning and they happily stayed for the entire show. This is the first time I've ever seen the preschool crowd sit for an entire zoom call! The thank you messages started coming in from other parents right after the party ended and our little guy loved everything from dancing to his favorite song with his friends to his birthday puppet and the funny raccoon character. From the perspective of the parent, this is the least amount of work we've ever done for a birthday party. Ricky Roo & Friends took care of everything so we could throw up a few balloons, get the cake ready and done! Parent tip, send/drop off sealed loot bags including a prepackaged treat, in advance for your party guests to really get the party feel. We didn't know a virtual birthday party could be this much fun. Big thanks to Chris at Ricky Roo & Friends.

Bay Area Family Guide

We highly recommend Chris and his puppet friends for creating precious memories for your special occasion, as we did for our son's birthday! Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, we celebrated our son's birthday via a Zoom video call with all his friends and invited Chris to do a special puppet show for the birthday party. Chris put on an excellent show and kept all the kids laughing and engaged for full 30 minutes (tough ask, considering 2-yr olds have a 5-min attention span). He built a story around the theme for our party and had our son as one of the puppet characters (he included us, parents, as puppets too!) This virtual puppet show was a tremendous hit - the video and audio quality was excellent, Chris mingled (virtually of course) with our guests prior to the show, and paid great attention to details (he even took the time to learn exactly how we pronounce our son's name). Chris is very responsive and available via text or calls. All in all, Chris and his puppet friends exceeded our expectations. Pandemic or not, we might just ask Chris to join us for another enthralling story with his puppet friends!
