This review is for Dr. Teri Gjerseth. She is incredibly knowledgeable and I appreciate how much she explains things and gives me my options with every decision. I never feel like a number which is all too common in the health system. I could not be happier with how my birth went with her at Sacred Heart Hospital, and how my post-birth care is now going at Oakleaf Clinic. I wanted a natural, fully unmedicated and uninterrupted water birth and that is exactly what I was able to have with Dr. Gjerseth. My laboring was smooth and I was able to get into multiple positions using the shower, toilet, bed, tub, yoga ball, and a sling that was hung from the ceiling during my contractions. Dr. Gjerseth worked with me and my body to get my baby into position for the birth and keep me moving in certain ways to manage my pain during the contractions. Dr. Gjerseth was great at talking me through my options during labor and encouraging me when my contractions were at their peak. I can not recommend her enough! She has also been great now as I'm healing to answer my questions quickly and see me on a regular basis. Thank you so much Dr. Gjerseth!
