New owner has transformed this place into a one stop professional repair center!Always willing to help you at whatever task you may have. They have the best prices in the area. They also sell used parts, motors, props at a very reasonable price.

Marine Emporium boat works haul out prices per foot was lower than the other yards I called in the bay area, and they were very accommodating on scheduling. I've found them quite polite and pleasant to deal with.

Tried to lift me out by the rudder after I tried to check with them on their plan for lifting my cut-away full-keel sailboat. I had to scream at them. Then when launching me, hit the jib furler with the TravelLift ruining it and damaging the rigging, which will cost thousands to repair and replace, and tried to tell me it was fine and didn't respond when asked about insurance. Repeatedly promised on the phone to do work but then basically decided they didn't want to once they had my 600 from the haulout and had me paying per day. Only 9-5 so most boats are in for bottom paint over a weekend or two or else the captain hires outside help. Kept overhearing the owner promise other people he'd do work then turn around and make excuses about not having done work. Only one full time mechanic and him and the owner are usually no where to be found. Do not come here unless you want to do your own work or have trusted help already lined up and you have really good insurance. Edit: Despite owner's reply, I did not come in for bottom paint. The stern tube leak was discussed with them repeatedly before I came in and in person when I was there and I was repeatedly assured it would be o problem\ and \we can do that\. Never asked for anything for free, but false promises and being blown off then boat treated so poorly are all not okay. I was not told moving up launch would be a problem and there's no excuse for damaging a boat. Likewise if the mast needs to be removed before haulout because they may destroy rigging otherwise, this is something that should have been communicated.

Skilled, professional & patient. They charged us less than they had originally quoted. Highly recommended. These new owners at Marine Emporium boat works are cleaning up this place and made it completely secured with fencing and security cameras. One of the few boatyards in Bay Area that allow customers to work on their boats.

This place is great for the DIY boat work crowd. I had to do a bottom job on my sailboat and some other miscellaneous work, but couldn't find a yard in the city until the end of March. I wouldn't prefer to drive out to the delta, but being a reverse commute it was only about an hour each way, and the rates were so much more affordable than anything around the bay. I trailered my Catalina 25 to Marine Emporium where they put her on the lift and jack stands so I could work. Power and was was close by, and the yard was locked at night with cameras all over so I felt secure. It was only 20 per day and I finished all my projects in just over two weeks. They set the boat back on the trailer and I was on my way. My only complaint is they don't offer a vacuum sander to rent as most yards do, so I ended up buying a full setup for 300. Still came out ahead and had my boat back on the water much sooner. I'd gladly use this yard again.
