I found Colleen when I about to start my journey as a traditional surrogate. Colleen is not only professional, but personable. She follows the law (unlike other midwives) and never pushes you to do anything you are uncomfortable with (very much unlike other midwives!) . I went to 41 weeks and 4 days with my surrogate baby. When I went into labor not only did Colleen drive all the way to Orlando for me, but because of her allowing me to have a totally natural start to labor I barely believed I was actually having the baby. I would send any one of my friends or family to Colleen because she is the best at what she does!!!! Thank you Colleen for giving me the birth I have dreamed of!!!

I hate that it has come to this because Colleen, her staff and acquaintances helped me and my children out in a time of need when my husband passed away but I feel everyone needs to speak up about how she handles things on a professional note before something horrible happens to someone in her care. This is my experience. When I first started using Colleen I was so happy and felt so lucky some one would allow me my water home birth I had dreamed of for almost 4 and a half years. When I would come to the office in the beginning of my pregnancy she would always be late but I know babies are unpredictable so I didn't think much of it. My husband passed away and I decided to start home visits and the first time she was right on time. The next few times she was later and later. Eventually my appointments would come and go but she would never show up and rarely reply to any type of communication. Leaving me having to cancle other plans and appointments. Last minute rescheduling and then showing up late became a norm following that. I asked several times through my pregnancy if she would provide the pool and set up or if that was something I should prepare for. She always assured me that her and her staff would do it all. When the time came she told me to let her know when my contractions we so far apart. Me thinking she knows how much this water home birth meant to me I assumed she was estimating the time it would take to set up the pool as well. I was wrong. One of my first few questions was about setting up and she just blurts out "there's not time for that. It will take too long. You would have already had him by the time its ready for you to get in." I have no complaints about my postpartum care unlike many others. Colleen is known for missing appointments, being late and having very poor communication with not just her mom's but her employees as well. Especially when she owes them money that she refuses to give them.

It's been almost a year now, and for the whole experience I wish I could rate it less than one star. At first, she was great, but then slowly became unintenative. I appreciate her middle of the night stops, but she was always late for appointments, or wouldn't show up. She continually told me I had a yeast infection but refused to write me a referral for the in office doctor she used. We decided to go through with a hospital birth and we were extremely lucky because Colleen and her birth team were present. I want to give the biggest love and biggest shout out to Crystal and Victoria who worked for Colleen and were there the whole time making sure I was okay, for the three days I was in labor they were there. Our daughter's middle name is Victoria for other reasons, but I feel like the name sake is a good one. Victoria held my legs, my hand and my hair through all of it. Colleen was on her phone. Once my daughter was born she completely disappeared, said she was coming for postpartum appointments and never showed up. Even though the hospital DEMANDED that she did due to my high blood pressure, and loosing so much blood at birth I required a blood transfusion. She never showed up. When I had complained about feeling as if I was suffering from Post Partum Depression she said she would 'look into help ' for me, but then proceeded to suggest that I was overreacting, and what I was feeling was 'normal' it was not. She NEVER messaged me again. A woman befriended me on facebook, saying that she and her child almost died due to neglect of Colleen, even with the risks associated with a home birth- Colleen was no where insight. She loves to pull the 'oh i'm late.' card, when in reality she is either getting pulled over by the cops or just not showing up because she wants the father to deliver the baby.

Colleen Bach owes me a LARGE amount of back pay. Colleen has decided she no longer needs to communicate with me about my pay. Despite my repeated attempts to make contact, I continue to be ignored. I have stated multiple times that I would take payments if that’s what needed to happen. That offer as also been ignored.

I am sad to write this because I really wanted to love colleen but I cannot recommend her services to anyone, I have several reasons as to why. At this moment I can't even get her to file a birth certificate and she won't even answer my phone calls.
