The campground is a mile for so South of the state park. You can not drive to the campground if you enter the state park. The campground sites are spacious, clean, and quiet. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. Plenty of hiking trails. Kayak access by short walk to the river. Neat Cracker village and museum.

Big camp sites. Really nice bath houses. We canoed from Silver springs to Ray wayside park. Rode bike back to back to Silver springs to get truck (A little unnerving but only 3 miles). Saw manatee, monkeys, alligators and more wildlife.

A truly beautiful place to visit. It shows a diverse array of landscape. When I went part of the trail was closed and under construction but what I did see was breathtaking. It was the clearest blue water I'd ever seen with my own eyes. The wildlife was unbelievable I saw a black crane, white heron, a monkey, schools of fish, a small alligator. My fiancee and I paid 2 each just to take a walking tour but they have glass bottom boat rides you can take a tour on, they also have kayak rentals and you can bring your own kayaks. Go during the week to have it practically to yourself.

Nice campground in a large park setting. Bring a bike as there are plenty of riding options both on road and groomed trails.

It was a really nice state park. Camp sites were large and private. It was off season and very hot, and there wasn't any swimming facilities. Nice clean restrooms and showers. The glass bottom boat was nice and we enjoyed sitting in the rockers watching the boats. Some beautiful flowers to enjoy as well. Ice cream shop and snackbar souvenir shop all convenient for you to enjoy.
