Stopped in to star gaze. The clear skies are phenomenal. Got to view annual meteor shower that is usually in mid August.

Dont know what is in there but there are 12 foot fences with barbed wire all alond that stretch of highway. Double gateed like Jurassic Park! Walked in about half a mile didn't see anything. Suspect panther, hogs, gators and pythons (and chupacobra).

Excellent opportunity to stretch your legs and enjoy the unique beauty of the Everglades. My 8 year old daughter was slightly less impressed. Her main concern was not being eaten by the copious amount of crickets.
