We had a great time kayaking! We saw young gators, turtles, heron, multiple flocks of birds, a troop of monkeys and manatee. You can sit back, relax. And let the current carry you or paddle along with it. Can't wait to do it again.

My family and I had a great visit! Rented cabins and they were stocked with all the essentials. All we needed to bring were our comforters, clothes and toiletries. Cabins were stocked with all the kitchen essentials (pots, pans, basic cutlery, plates & cups, coffee maker) the heating and air was happy surprise. The cabin was cozy and we loved the fire pit areas located just outside our door. Great hiking and fishing located close by. We will definitely be back!

Thanks again Theresa and Lance for helping me make adjustments to a wonderful spring multi-day canoe trip, really appreciate your flexibility and guidance! Support local business! I will definitely be back for another Ocklawaha float. Best.

Our family rented 4 cabins for this past weekend and have a great time. The cabins have everything you would need. Cooking utensils, pots n pans, comfortable beds ( we all slept really well!) And each cabin had working heating and ac units! Each cabin had its own picnic table, fire pit, and charcoal grill. Firewood was available for purchase. Good places to fish near by too. The owners were super friendly and helpful whenever we needed them. Overall, we would highly recommend this place to stay!

A very nice campground that could be a really great campground due to its location. Fixed up it could be a 70.00 per/night park. We spent a weekend here canoeing and checking out this very historic area. Here are some of my thoughts: 1- Like many Florida so called RV Resorts there are people who call this park home. They live in run down, dilapidated campers or RV's and generally drag down the entire appearance of the place. Park only gets 2 stars for allowing people to live in the park in ramshackle RV's. 2- Park needs a serious infrastructure overhaul. Although water, sewer and electric worked flawlessly for the weekend the service pedestals were falling apart, rusty and in danger of complete failure. The sewer hook-ups did not meet 64e-15 of the FL administrative code. 3 stars 3- Owners were helpful, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. 5 stars for such great people trying to make a go of it as a small business. 4- This is an RV park/Canoe rental outpost. The owners will drive you up river to paddle down the Ocklawaha River back to the park. A memorable and beautiful canoe trip! 5 stars!! You don't have to rent an RV place to rent a canoe. 5- RV pads are grass/dirt/mud/dust depending on the time of year. There are no paved roads or pads in the park. 2 stars 6- There is a dumpster where you can take your trash (They don't pick up) that was over-full and smelling like an over-full dumpster. Even though it was off by itself, the smell on a hot Florida day was quite overwhelming at times. 3 stars 7- This park also has rental cabins which appeared nice and well kept from the outside. They are in a heavily wooded area and not too close together. There's also a bathhouse/washroom for the primitive campers in their own area. 5 stars 8- Although there was infrastructure in place, there was no cable TV hook-up and only 4 broadcast channels. 2 stars 9- All in all this could be a solid 5 star park with a little TLC and some rules enforcement.

This couple was super nice! Thoroughly enjoyed the trip to this beautiful area! Never had been canoing before, but it was an awesome time, camped over night and finished the next morning. Highly recommend!

Their service was great and they offer all you need for an amazing canoe trip. Beautiful location. They were following mask-wearing guidelines during transportation in the van, and only transporting parties that were together.

Best camping experience yet! Clean cabins and bathrooms. The staff was friendly and quick to accommodate. Location is remote and quiet. Theresa and Lance are extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area and gave us helpful advice and recommendations. They made our group feel welcomed and appreciated. I can’t wait to visit again! Thank you so much!
