Have lived in the city of Oconto for a year, after living in Appleton for 14 years. The department has been responsive and professional overall, but needs to really step up their game in safeguarding pedestrians. We've had close calls numerous times while crossing in a marked crosswalk, and on more than one occasion there's been a marked City of Oconto squad in plain view of our plight to have traffic yield as we cross Main Street, and they took no action to intervene. Someone is going to get hit, it's just a matter of time. Come on guys, you can do better!
