Free ferry... arrived for the 8:30am ferry but it didn't go... so ended up waiting for the 9:30am ferry. Someone came out on a golf cart and talked to all the pass holders, some of them left and came back... Nothing was said to us tourists... a little annoying to sit for an hour and a half with no info. Cars were parked so tight, I didn't think I could get out of my car but a few did.

Great day on the island. Now I catch this FREE ride back to Hatteras after a good meal, looking a wild horses, finding the light house and seeing a sunset from the beach side. Thanks to those locals working all day.
Terrible experience waiting for hours to come and go with nothing to do on either side. They let service pass holders ahead of everyone so it makes the wait even longer . No excuse to run one ferry every hour . This is not entertainment it is a waste of time . I give this a minus minus minus 1 .
Horrible service.... ferry is a joke waited hours to load and the workers were unsafe prejudice rude uneducated unprofessional locals trying to be workers riding around overweight on golf carts attempting to insulting the folks who pass thru one day there will be a bridge and these losers wont have a job anymore :)
Milo loved the ferry so much we're going to take another one later tonight
